Tell Us What Needs Pricing

Start with the basics and we can price the job properly first time. If it is an installation, a fault call-out, a maintenance contract or cold-room servicing, the more detail you give us the better the quote will match the work on site. We handle shop fridges, farm cold rooms, split aircon units and scheduled upkeep for busy premises.

Please include the site area, the type of equipment, and whether the job is urgent. In the Western Cape we also factor in coastal humidity, dusty inland sites and power interruptions, because those details affect labour, parts and follow-up visits.

  • Type of equipment: refrigeration, aircon or cold room
  • Location: Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Malmesbury, Vredenburg or surrounds
  • Issue or scope: repair, install, service or maintenance plan
  • Access notes: roof mount, back-of-house, farm shed or store room

How To Request A Quote Step By Step

Send an email to callouts@kennycapewest.co.za with your contact number and a short note about the job. If you already have photos, model details or a fault history, attach them as well. That helps us see whether the work is a simple service, a leak detection visit or a bigger cold-room repair.

For urgent breakdowns, tell us if stock is at risk, if a shop is losing temperature, or if a farm cooler is holding produce above target. We will then advise on the best next step and whether a call-out is needed straight away.

  • State the site name and town
  • Explain the fault or work needed in plain terms
  • Share photos of the unit, controls or damaged areas
  • Say whether the site needs after-hours or weekend attendance

What Information Helps Us Quote Accurately

Different jobs need different pricing. A maintenance plan for a small office aircon is not the same as a cold room on a farm packhouse, and a coil clean in Montague Gardens is priced differently from a leak trace on a system that has been running flat out through summer. If you give us enough detail upfront, we can reduce back-and-forth and get the work moving sooner.

The following items are especially useful when requesting pricing. If you do not have everything, send what you know and we will work from there, no need to guess.

  • Approximate unit size or room size in metres
  • Number of units or cold rooms on site
  • Whether the system is new, old or recently repaired
  • Any temperature records, alarm history or load-shedding impact
  • Preferred timing for service visits or shutdown work

Quotes For Maintenance Plans And Seasonal Work

Many businesses ask for pricing on planned maintenance because it is easier to budget than repeated breakdowns. We quote for regular servicing that can include coil cleaning, drain clearing, leak detection, temperature logging, seasonal start-up and shutdown preservation. That is useful for shops with trading hours to keep, and farms that need cold rooms ready before peak harvest periods.

If you are comparing options, ask us to price the frequency that fits your site. Monthly, quarterly or pre-season service visits can all be quoted. We can also include attendance for emergency call-outs, which helps if equipment fails during heat spikes or during power recovery after load-shedding.

Cold-Room Work For Shops And Farms

Cold-room pricing depends on size, access, insulation condition and the fault. A small but busy retail store may need a fast compressor or control check, while a farm facility might need door seals, temperature logging and condenser cleaning before the next packing cycle. We quote for both repair and ongoing care.

When asking for cold-room pricing, it helps to mention whether the room is used for fresh produce, dairy, meat or mixed stock. Also note if there is any ice build-up, water on the floor, warm air entering, or temperature drift overnight. Those details point us toward the right technician and the right parts.

What Happens After You Send The Request

Once we receive your request, Charlene and Bianca will help with the first details and pass the job to the right team member. Morne oversees the quoting process, while Anele, Ruan and Lutho handle the technical side depending on the work needed. If the job is straightforward, we can often give a clear estimate after a quick review. If it needs site inspection, we will say so upfront.

Our aim is practical pricing and clear next steps. You should know what is included, what is excluded, and whether the job needs parts, labour, travel or repeat visits. That keeps things simple for busy site managers and owners alike.

Need Fast Help In The Western Cape?

If your equipment is down right now, say so in the subject line and tell us what is at risk. For a shop, that may mean stock loss. For a farm, it may mean produce quality. For an office or accommodation site, it may be comfort and trading continuity. We work from Montague Gardens and cover Cape Town, the Winelands and the West Coast.

Send your request to callouts@kennycapewest.co.za and include a mobile number, location and any photos you have. The clearer the first message, the quicker we can give you the right price and schedule the work.

Questions we get asked

Can I request pricing for both repairs and a maintenance plan?

Yes. Send the equipment type, location and whether you need a once-off repair, an ongoing service contract or both. We can quote each option separately so you can compare.

Do you quote for cold rooms on farms outside Cape Town?

Yes. We work across the Western Cape, including Stellenbosch, Paarl, Malmesbury and Vredenburg. Mention the town, access details and the cold-room size so we can price correctly.

What if I do not know the model number or exact fault?

That is fine. Send photos, a short description and any temperature or alarm notes you have. We can usually work from that and ask only for what is still missing.
